The Black Jack Aqua-Products Testing Studio was started May of 2007, as a way to develop, sample, and test all our Aqua-Products.
Our Facility helps us insure that we always produce the highest quality products possible.
Our Studio was designed to simulate many different consumer
situations and techniques. By having this diversity it gives us the ability to test all of our
products on each individual environment.
Our Goal is to run a simple low tech system with standard
equipment that can be easily obtained.
Our main test system is around 470 gallons. It consistent of 4 individual display tanks that are setup with different lighting, substrates, flow rates, and bio-diversity. All of the
tanks are plumbed together using one centralized sump that houses all skimming/heating/mechanical/chemical filtration.
This gives us our control, (the water). We are able to maintain
the same water parameters in all of the tanks on the system.
This also gives us the ability to test various products and see the effects on each individual environment.
Our entire System is fed every other day with only Black Jack Reef Crack™.
